2001 Poster![]() Michael W. Donner “The Diver” The Six Elements of Fine Art: Line, Form, Texture, Color, Composition and Emotion. Every work of art, whether Abstract, Realistic, Impressionistic or any other label chosen to describe a specific piece, contains at least three of these six elements. How well the artist comprehends these elements, along with his or her natural ability and sensitivity to the surroundings, determines the artist’s appeal to the serious collector. There is nothing new in art, only different derivatives of the Six Elements of Fine Art. Transforming intangible thought into tangible reality, taking mental and spiritual consciousness and giving it Life through two-dimensional visualization is the goal of my conceptual Still Lifes and Landscapes—to step beyond the obvious, to bring a different perspective to the mundane existence of sameness. Anyone can come up with a formula to satisfy the masses. How well the artist interprets the breakup of space through the rules of Fine Art and creativity is what separates the average from the exceptional. The ability and sincerity of the artist’s work validates its immortality; the thought that the work remains eternal is my motivating factor. 2009 Poster |
